The Ivy
On the Celtic calendar, September 30 to October 27, is the month of the Ivy, ranked Bramble in the Cad Goddeu, the Battle of the Trees: GREAT WAS THE GORSE IN BATTLE, AND THE IVY AT HIS PRIME.
The Ivy is a climbing evergreen plant. It's believed a house with Ivy growing on it, is protected from psychic attacks. In God form, the Ivy represents the God Ogmois, the God of Scholars and Eloquence.
The Ivy is connected to the Justice card in the Tarot deck. This suggests clear decision making by weighing the pros and cons before proceeding. The Justice card, is being accountable for one's thoughts, feelings, and actions.
SUGGESTED ACTIVITY
Stand before the Full Moon, and try to clear your internal dialogue. Allow your breath deepen as you become relaxed. Raise your arms wide over your head, spread the fingers and graciously ask spirit of your collective past; ancestor who dwell in the invisible to unite with you. Swoop your arms down to your side, palms facing forward.
Talk to your Spirit Guide. Ask that Justice will be done on earth as in heaven. Seek strength and inspiration to do the right thing...for the good of all.
