She has two daughters: Jody in 1963 and Penny in 1965.
She opened the Crow Haven Corner, which has become one of the major tourist attractions of Salem. Cabot turned the shop over to her daughter , Jody, in the late 1970's.
in 1973 Laurie established the annual Witches' Ball, a costume party to celebrate Samhain (All Hollow's Eve) in Salem, which each year draws an international crowd of participants and media.
Laurie continues to serve Salem as a member of the executive board of the Chamber of Commerce which she joined in 1980. In 1988 she established the Temple of Isis, a chapter of the National Alliance of Pantheists.
She has assisted the Salem police in apprehending murderer. She has worked with police departments and many people without requiring a fee. To her helping others is extremely rewarding to her on a personal level, and spiritually fulfilling.
She is the author of Power of the Witch: The, Earth, the Moon, and the Magical Path to Enlightenment and Love Magic: The Way to Love Through Rituals, Spells, and the Magical Life. Living completely as a witch, Laurie has devoted her life and work to correcting the many misconceptions about Witchcraft. She lives in Salem Massachusetts.
