On the Celtic calendar the willow tree represents the fifth month, April 15 through to May 12. In the Battle of the Trees, “The Cad Goddeu,” the tree is ranked as the twelfth chieftain. The personality of the wood is wise and bitter.
WILLOW AND ROWAN TREE
ARE TARDY IN ARRAY
The willow, an element of water, is feminine. The branches, leaf, bark and bud can be used for moon magic contacting spirits, death passage and the besom to clear away any form of negativity. The willow tree in the Tarot deck is connected to the eighteenth path, the Moon; the memory from the subconscious is released. That which is kept hidden rises, rearing its ugly head once again.
The Full Moon in April is known as Wind or Hare Moon. Both names represent regeneration, fertility, re-birth, favoring new emotional growth to enhance well-being.
The Moon Goddess, the great lady herself, can give clarity to your purpose, to free the heart and remove stagnation that may be hindering growth. On the Full Moon one can request a new emotional response, an emotional change and to help work with the task of balancing inside angers. Anger is a true emotion for anyone. The mature way of handling anger is learning to calm the aggression. The key to emotional growth is one can only change their responses. Others can be guided, yet they too have the choice of free will. People will come and go in our lives, always there to teach us a lesson while living the experiences. Some bring pleasure, others great pain that cause wounds to our pride scarring us forever deep inside. When carrying bitterness and anger in one’s heart it will only eat you up inside. Never will you forget what they did nor should you. It was a lesson you needed to learn.
Allow the ones who cause grief and despair be. Accept who they are, flaws and all. Forgive, means you give your acceptance and forgetting is that you’re getting some peace in the situation. Believe the heart will never let you down. There will always be enough when you live in understanding and compassion for others. Everything comes in time, have patience. In the end people always receive their deserved prize. There are times in everyone’s past when life’s journey became unbearable, every day seemed like living in great turmoil. In those moments faith was born. Somehow, some way, strength came from “nowhere” to allow you to overcome the pressure. By releasing the programming and conditions of the past, dismembering your thoughts and actions to resemble them you will move in a new direction. When the time is taken to change personal emotional behavior you change your existence. You add or subtract and come to a new way of knowing, a new way of being, and a new attitude.
Learn every moment lived, harming none intentionally, the conscious will be clear of all and any wrong doing. Tune in to internal nudges removes all confusion. Turmoil comes with living. Surrender the burdens, admit mistakes and see people and situations for the way they truly are.
Life continuously tests us to see if we absorbed the lessons taught. When you find yourself in harmful situations or positions similar to one in the past, deep emotional reactions will surface from within the subconscious. To pass, react with compassion, be wise. Ignorance or jealously creates room for bitterness to grow inside.
One should have realistic expectations of people and situations. Know their limitations, open your eyes, step back and see them for the way they truly are and not just the way you wish it to be for only then will you accomplish balance. There is a fine line between anger and joy. To build emotional equilibrium within one must free themselves from the bondage of anger and release the false illusions which hold them captive. Struggles help to become aware that there is a problem. When confronting the difficulties courage is born. Inside our bodies there are both light and shadow, as above, so below. Make peace with imperfections, change that which you can, accept the things you cannot change, use your wisdom to know the difference between the two.
It takes a great sense of self to tolerate any form of criticism, to go within and give attention to what adjustments need to be made to accept shortcomings without using self hate. No one is completely perfect. Remove this image. We are all living, hopefully learning by our mistakes to find the best life, the one true to be ourselves.
Anger comes to life when a boundary of our integrity has been crossed. It takes tremendous courage to stand up for chosen beliefs. Take action assertively from an open heart, not aggressively from a closed heart. Anger from a closed heart encourages one to act vindictively, belittling to prove the other is wrong. Walk away and cool the emotions within. Return to the activity and listen then make a conscious effort to be fair. This is anger with an open heart. Do not wound or punish another. Your reaction in life’s adventures light or shadow, determine who you are, be true to self, love is the law, love is the bond, live trying to harm none.
Break the chain that binds, remove the limitations, and see the situation with clear sight. When one limits their thinking it leads to failure because within you create emotional restrictions hindering any progress. Go with the flow of life, have faith and realistic expectations. Contentment does not come from the absence of anger, but how you deal with the strong unsettling feeling.
