The Full Death Moon rises on March 8. The March full moon has many names but they are all based on this being considered the last full moon of the winter. Native Americans called this the Worm Moon because of the worm trails that appeared in the thawed ground which would mean the return of robins. Sap Moon is also another popular name as this is the time of year to tap trees for maple sap. The Crow Moon came about because the crows are cawing good-bye to winter and during the Full Crust Moon the snow thaws during the day and then refreezes at night forming a crust over the Earth.

Once the Moon rises in Virgo on March 8, it will squarely oppose the Sun in Pisces to create a beautiful full Moon ... along with the need to perform a careful balancing act. However, if you can take advantage of this terrific opportunity, you'll have a great chance to round out your life and live it to the fullest!

The Virgo Moon worries and becomes so bogged down with practical details that it can prevent you from letting anything emotional in. The Pisces Sun, meanwhile, may dream big, but it tends to hide inside a shell, terrified of getting hurt. A main purpose of March 8's full Moon is to draw your attention to these opposing aspects and help you bring them into harmony with one another.

At first, you may feel pulled in two directions, but there are certainly a few things you can do to make the day go smoothly. Firstly, trust and go with your hunches -- just make sure to check things out before acting on them. Also, do all you can to look for the best in people, even as you acknowledge everyone's human limitations. Finally, remember that you can only realize a dream if you put time into it, all the way down to the little details.

Full Wolf Moon – Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside.

 January 9, 2011
This moon is a time for introspection. Save your energy, stop worrying about others and concentrate on yourself. The zodiac association is Capricorn.

This is the time we try to to maintain a balance between spiritual/magical development, and emotional support/healing.  During the Wolf Moon we attempt to eliminate actions that cause more harm than good to ourselves and others.  Light a white candle and talk to your Spirit Guide and ask for assistance with your purpose to cast off the old and make way for the new.  Be sure to thank guiding spirit for supporting you.

The fearsome nocturnal animal the wolf represents the "night" of the year.
