A  maiden witch slept beneath the starry night, wishing to marry the brightest star.  The next day the girl spotted a porcupine high in a tree.  She decided to greet the prickly creature.  No sooner had she done so than the tree began to grow taller and taller until the land could no longer be seen.  The porcupine spoke to her, revealing that he was the brightest star of all, the one she had wished for, and he had come to claim her to live among the stars.  

Together they lived in the sky just as we would on earth.  In time they had a son named Star Boy.  One day, when the she and the young boy were collecting spacial roots, the child wanted a different root found in the ground that her husband told her to never disturb. The child put up such a fuss she finally pulled his want from the soil.  His mother looked down to earth and saw her friends and family happily living their lives.   

The voice of a crone broke the silence.  She told her she could help her return to her loved ones if that's what she desired to do.  She instructed the witch to collect 100 sinews, no more, no less, from which she would create a ladder to grant her her wish.  

Once the rope was prepared, the crone lowered the witch and child through the hole to the earth below, requesting she keep her eyes closed until she felt the cool soil between her toes.  But the rope suddenly stopped, too high for her to land on her feet on the tallest blade of grass.  The crone told her that the sinews were counted incorrectly and there was no more she could do but leave her and her son hanging.  

When the star husband returned from the hunt, he began to worry when he couldn't find his wife and child.  As the light faded, he went in search for his family and discovering the hole, he looked down.  He lifted the largest stone and tossed it upon his wife, killing her instantly.  To him, her spark burned out when she decided to take their son and abandoned him. 

Her family saved the child when he fell from the sky.  By the time the Star Boy reached manhood, he had earned respect for all his great feast he preformed in the name of good.   

Where do all the lonely hearts go?  They beat strong once again when they find self-love.  There are many aspects to love and life.  There is destiny, compassion, pain, hate, greed, jealousy, trust, betrayal, faith and friendships. 

Our journey in life is about how we affect those whom we come in contact with on the path.  The choice is ours on how we will be loved and remembered.  

There are no guarantee in love but it is a gamble worth taking.  The gain is priceless, the loss unforgettable.

Mark a cross with a pencil on the back of the leaf.  In a wooden bowl place a few bay leaves inside, toss in the marked leaf and mixed them up.  Turn the bowl in a circle, clockwise, three times and say:

  Each take turns to choose a bay leaf.  Flip them over and discover who has the leaf with the small cross.  

Place a white candle in a holder on a solid surface.  Light the wick, and then hold a bay leaf in your left hand between thumb and finger, concentrating on your intentions.  Ask your question holding the bay leaf to the flame. 

If the leaf crackles and burns the answer is yes.  If the leaf bubbles and releases a high pitched cry the answer is no.  

If you want to divine faithfulness in a person with a pin scratch the initials or name on a fresh bay leaf and leave it in your bedroom for the day. 

It is unlikely the person is faithful if the letters remain green. 

If the name turns brown, they are true to you. 

If the name appears clearer than when you wrote it, it is an omen that you will marry each other.    

The King of Denmark bore a son.  Six fairy sisters attended the christening, the youngest being Morgan le Fay. 

Each one brought the child a wish.  The first girl wished him bravery; the second, a chance to display his honor; the third, invincibility; the fourth, the art of pleasing; and the fifth, a loving nature.   

Little Morgan le Fay quite taken by the boy her wish was herself. She announced that when the time was right the two would be joined to live together as one.     

In time, when the boy grew to a man, he came to rule France as Ogier, the Dane, after the region of his birth.  A man of honor, distinguished by valour, he lived a long life. 

When Ogier turned grey, Morgan could wait no longer.  Her heart ached for him.  She set forth a great storm, causing her beloveds ship to be destroyed near Avalon.  The King of Denmark survived.  When he reached the shore he found an apple orchard.  From out of a an apple tree stepped Morgan le Fay appeared to him, dressed in a flowing white gown, as beautiful as beautiful can be.  She walked toward Ogier, never removing her eyes from his.  Then taking his left hand she placed a gold ring on his finger.  His back was no longer bent, his aged skin lost it's creases.  

Ogier eagerly became the her mate placing his crown upon her head.   Together they lived for centuries in Avalon, where Morgan le Fay held supreme power of the enchanted island.    

The High Priestess symbolizes the law of inherent wisdom-  

1. the long, elegant, light blue robe and background - represents understanding and attainment of a peaceful, intuitive life.  It is time to rely on intuition rather than logic because hidden influences are at work; the unconscious mind and intuition as opposed to conscious reasoning.  It is to recall the vastness of potential and remember the unlimited possibilities.  The opening up to what can be, looking beyond the obvious while sensing the secret and hidden.   

2. a vestment of flowing fabric behind her - being free from all excess  

3. fonds with pointed leaves - male principle

4. pomegranates - the female aspect the fruitfulness of reproduction  

5. a thick black pillar with the capital B (Boaz) to her left and a thick, white pillar with a capital J (Jachin) to her right, stand solid.  The black pillar, the negation of activity, infers darkness, female intuition, and sacred knowledge.  The white pillar, the positive aspects of life, polarity of darkness, established the principle inherent to all things light .  

6. the hem of her gown cascades over a crescent moon which represents the stream of consciousness from the unknown.  A new beginning.  

7. the yellow floor her intellect, knowledge and communication which are built on firm foundations.  

8. she partly covers the Tora-Rota with her right hand, which indicates hidden knowledge.  Her actions symbolize the information given is not for all eyes to see. 

 9. on the center of her chest is a Solar Cross with equal arms - the vertical distinguishes female energy and the horizontal the male energy, or the union  with Goddess and God - female and male.  This is the union of negative and positive elements of the four quarters and femine and masculine energies.  The polarity matter and earth balance signifies re-birth and reproduction.  

10. the rich band worn on her head shows two crescent moons on the side of a full moon and a veil covers the mysteries of her brain.  The waning and waxing of the moon, with a full moon in the middle, represents cycles and her intuition.  The ability of knowing is applied, good or bad.  

The High Priestess pose a challenge for one to go deeper within themselves and look beyond the obvious.  There are things that are hidden and obscure in the situation. 
 
In the Tarot deck she symbolizes the law of inherent wisdom.  The card represents intuitive, often hidden knowledge linked to the moon.  In a reading the High Priestess represents having  faith in power of ones own intuition and inner knowledge to gain wisdom to move forward.   

The High Priestess indicates it is time to rely on intuition as oppose to conscious reasoning.  It is time to recall the vastness of potential and remember the unlimited possibilities.  It's opening up to what can be, looking beyond the obvious while sensing the secret and hidden.  

The High Priestess withdrawls from involvement and allows events to proceed without intervention.  She becomes calm and passive while she waits patiently, aware of a larger reality.  She trusts her inner voice as she opens to the unknown.  The High Priestess looks beyond the obvious surface situation and knows what's hidden and obscure then applies her wisdom. 

The scroll she holds in her hand is the memory we all carry within us of our past, present and future. 

The key words for the High Priestess are "I know."   KNOW YOURSELF WELL ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND YOUR SHORTCOMINGS.  HONESTY ASSESS WEAKNESS.  EXPLORE.  MORAL BRAVADO-GENEROUS, EGO GRATIFICATION - DECEPTION.  

Wisdom is having or showing good judgements.  It is about being sensible, sound, prudent, and aware of what is going on around you.  Knowledge is something learned and kept in the mind.  It is an understanding gained by actual experience and a clear perception of the truth.  Knowledge is being informed and wisdom is accumulated learning.  Wisdom is the realization through knowledge and experience, that what is of concern today may not be as important tomorrow.  Through life's joys and tribulations become an authority over self. 

Each experience contains a lesson for growth.  When we make wrong choice for ourselves and we stand at the threshold of a similar choice, the situation can be improved when wisdom is applied.   When a different choice is applied - one experiences a different outcome.

TALIESIN - An object, ritually charged with power to attract a specific force or energy to its bearer.  

On a mountain lake known to the ancients as the "Land Beneath the Waves," in Penllyne,Wales, lived Cerridwen.  She had borne a son.  Legend states his body was as hairy as a stag and a cloud of darkness surrounded him.  He was named Morfran, "Utter Darkness."  Seeing his fate, his mother set out to change his destiny.  She studied day and night and found the perfect potion that would give him wisdom and knowledge of the world to compensate for his appearance and change him into an enchanter.  

Cerridwen gathered herbs when they were the most potent and magically charged. She used water and proper energies from the Sun, Moon, and stars.  For a year in a day in a cauldron her potion needed to be stirred as she breathed life into her desire and someone eles to keep the fires burning.  A blind man and his aid Gwion Bach would assist with the stirring. 

Cerridwen knew the time drew near when three drops of brew would jump out of the cauldron onto her son and her spell would come true.   Her son Morfran was placed close to the cauldron for the final stages.  Cerridwen exhausted instructed either the blind man or his aid to come and wake in the forest before daybreak so she could witness the transformation.  

All was quiet in the castle as the blind man and Morfran slept while his aid attended the fire.  For almost a year and a day the aid, Gwion listened to the chants and began to want the gift that was being offered to another.  He decided to take Morfran's place.  As the brew began to bubble fiercely, Gwion pushed Morfran side to allow the three drops to spring onto him.  The mixture boiled over with wailing shriek, cracking the cauldron, and spilling the potion into the flame. 

Cerridwen awoke.  Gwion Bach, now transformed, could see her rage because her wish for her son had been destroyed.  Gwion turned himself into hare and begun running through the corridors of the palace.  Morfran's mother, shaped as a hound, nipped at his heels.  Gwion fled outside the castle and through the long grass. Glancing behind, he saw the white of her fangs.  Gwion reached the shore of the island and changed his shape into a fish and swam through the reeds.  When he glance behind again, he saw an otter on his tail.  Shooting to the surface, he shape-shifted into a swift (bird) and soared across the sky.  Behind him, with fire blazing in her eyes and talons ready, Cerridwen had changed form into an eagle prepared to kill.  Gwion dropped toward earth.  He spied a wheat field and turned himself into grain.  With razor sharp eyes, Cerridwen saw what he'd become and shaped herself into a hen who hunted and pecked until she devoured all Gwion had been. 

  Cerridwen returned to her castle satisfied justice was served, only to realize she was pregnant with the seed of Gwion.  For nine months she thought of ways to rid herself of the seed growing inside, vowing to destroy that which she bore.  On Beltane, she took the young Gwion to the waters and cast him where he drifted, leaving him to his fate.  

At the sea's edge near Castle Degney, in north of Wales, a lord's son identified as Elphin was fishing for salmon.  While moving through the reeds he came upon the child.  He looked at the boy and quickly named him, "Beyond the Radiant Brow."  The infant replied, "Taliesin, it is."   Lord Elphin was not a wise man, squandered his money but his heart was pure.  He and his wife raised the Taliesin who became loved by the Celts.  The people of the land were amazed by his knowledge of words.  He understood that they were the foundation of every spell and charm.  

The Welsh wizard Taliesin songs were about creation and transformation, and they made those magical things occur.  

With the power, knots, images, and charms, the witches focus is heightened, chanting, incantations, strengthens spells charms to protect, some against the unwanted, some hold healing.

JUSTICE will prevail and the issue will be resolved fairly without recourse to heated, emotional argument.

Being part of a couple means feeling you are part of a team, sharing your time, interests, friends and even your money, while retaining your own individual identities.

Most couple's part usually because they did not know how to share their love, missing the basic skills for communicating and relating in a loving manner.  The woman will stop appreciating her mate's actions, which were his direct way to communicate his feelings.    The male, thinking logically, will take apart the situation moving in a straight line to accomplish his goals, while the female, thinking with her emotions, will move around the problem in circles and spirals.  The man can not understand why, when he gave his mate a solution to her problems, she would not just fix them.  He didn't understand that she was not looking for a solution but just needed to talk out her emotions.  She needed someone to listen with a compassionate ear.

A couple needs to find ways to fulfil or respect their difference needs and cherish each other so resentment doesn't build up inside and both feel they are giving but not receiving the support they request.  A couple must find the basic rhythm of give and take to nurture the relationship.  

Not every union is meant to last.  Two souls come together to live the experience.  In order to know what you want in love, one must take chances, living the pleasure and the pain.           

KARMA IS NOT THAT YOU RECEIVE DIRECT, TANGIBLE  REWARDS OR PUNISHMENTS FOR OUR ACTIONS, BUT SIMPLY THAT YOU ARE AFFECTED BY YOUR OWN ACTIONS IN THE SENSE THAT AFFECT THE WORLD, WHICH YOU THEN HAVE TO LIVE IN.  

When we have karma with someone, we will be in each others lives until the karma burns off, whether in this lifetime or future one.  Understanding karma and its repercussions will protect and help you from making errors in judgement. 

Karma is the energy, positive or negative, which hangs in the air before returning to the sender.  The law of karma, the law of cause and effect states, "As we sow, so shall we reap."  Everything you do - every thought, deed becomes part of the energy force that we send out.  What you give will come back to you.  What you are, you will attract.  

Law of attraction - we vibrate outward what is drawn toward us.  What you are and how you act is what you will attract.
